1) Is it true that you only sell used merchandise?
Buy Sell Loan retails pre-owned merchandise as well as new merchandise through the Internet and its 3 stores located in San Francisco Bay Area. We have been in business for more than five years.
2) I'm anxious about buying something from a Pawn Shop. Are you licensed by the State or Federal Government?
Yes. Pawn Shops are licensed under State laws and must also comply with Federal laws regulating certain sales.
3) How do I know that what I'm buying isn't stolen?
Pawn Shops are required to verify the identity of anyone selling goods and/or seeking a loan on the goods. In fact, in California the Pawn Shop must hold the item for 30 days days before reselling while the item is being checked against the National Crime Information Computer (NCIC).
4) What is a Pawn Shop exactly?
Pawn Shops loan money based on the collateral value of goods like jewelry, musical instruments, watches, antiques, cars, etc. The loans are usually of short duration (4 months 10 days in California) and when the borrower pays the loan, the goods are returned to the borrower. If the borrower chooses to default on the loan, the Pawn Shop becomes the owner of the goods and must then sell the merchandise in order to pay off the loan.
5) Since these items are pre-owned, are they guaranteed?
As with any retail store, our customers are very important to us and providing good quality merchandise at a reasonable price is our goal. Our guarantee is very simple: The merchandise is as described on the Web Site. All merchandise is sold "as-is."

Pre-owned watches are sold with a one year in-house mechanical warranty. New Watches are sold with either a factory warranty or, if a factory warranty is not available, with a one year in-house mechanical warranty.

RETURN POLICY: We guarantee the sold item(s) to be exactly as described or better. Inaccurate information regarding an item or its condition are the only grounds for a refund, otherwise all sales are final.

6) Who pays for shipping?

7) Do I pay sales tax?
California residents must add 8.25% sales tax or provide a tax resale certificate. All shipments outside California are exempt from California sales tax.
